1 Cor. 2:5-7

A. PURPOSE OF THE COURSE

Solomon writes in Prov. 9:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” In other words, a believer is considered wise if the believer walks in the fear of the Lord, keeps all His commandments and does not lean on his/her own understanding.” And knowledge of the Holy One is counted as true knowledge. Jesus said: “Now this is eternal life: that they know, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (John 17:3). It is quite obvious “eternal life” is primarily and purely dependent on the knowledge one gains about the “true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent.”

 

Our world has gone crazy over increase of knowledge and wisdom. In fact Daniel the Prophet writes: “Many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall increase” (Dan. 12:4, KJV). Today we have TED Talks and LEAD Talks where people from all walks of life come on stage and try to share and disseminate knowledge and wisdom garnered from their own sphere of activity and their own store-house of knowledge and wisdom! No, not even one person has ever given glory to God for His infinite knowledge and wisdom! Knowledge and wisdom flow from God! The question put to Job by God in Job 38:2, is still relevant even today: “Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge?” The fallen world is yet to realize that all wisdom and knowledge come from above, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Prov. 2:6) and that Jesus is our wisdom (1 Cor.1:30).

 

At Emet University International, with fear and trembling we instill in our students this idea to look up to God for their knowledge and wisdom. Our faculty with the help of the Word-power and the Holy Spirit only guide the students on how to obtain this great knowledge and wisdom from God. Our students are taught to ask and pray like Solomon for wisdom and knowledge as he did in 2 Chron. 1:10. The Word of God warns us twice, “a people without understanding will come to ruin” (Hos. 4:14) and again in Prov. 19:2, “that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good.”

 

Our world today needs men and women of knowledge and understanding who would commit themselves to walk in His ways and govern His people wisely. Are you that one that the Lord is looking for?  If the Lord stirs your heart, then we welcome you to take this course and find out for yourself that He is "wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance" (Isa. 28:29).

E. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum - Degree in any subject

  • Knowledge of English to read/write & speak

  • Some previous knowledge of salvation is required

  • Some aptitude for learning and grasping new ideas, techniques and skills is required
